Orthotropics® Mini-Residency – Session 4 – Dr Hang Presenter
June 5 - June 6
Orthotropics®, a technique pioneered by Dr. John Mew, is based on the philosophy that ideal development of the face and jaws is dependent on proper rest oral posture (tongue to the roof of the mouth, teeth lightly together, and lips together breathing through the nose). Orthotropics® seeks to place the teeth and jaws in more ideal positions in the face and encourages proper rest oral posture so future growth will be in a more favorable direction. This is a 4 session mini-residency to teach orthodontists and general dentists the philosophy and technique of Orthotropics® for children from approximately age 3 to age 10. Orthotropics® has been shown to be able to change an unfavorable direction of growth to a more favorable forward direction and increase a child’s airway.
